We know how much our customers appreciate our blends at ViCAFE and this inspired us to create a new high-quality blend from three East African countries: Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda. The African Blend combines the fruity, floral and chocolate flavors that are so typical of these three regions. It is best enjoyed as an espresso-based drink, or ideal for a French Press too.

Description

Our long-standing partnership with Mondul Coffee Estate in Tanzania has allowed us to establish our own and strict production standards on two fields, namely Mzinga and Nyuki. We have used a "black honey" processing method for this coffee; the residual sugars providing fruity and sweet aromas. The coffee from Uganda comes from a new project "ViCAFE Rwenzori Cluster" which aims to grow high-quality coffee while protecting the surrounding Rwenzori mountains. We are also helping three farming families to build composting facilities on their farm, to achieve better nutritional value and complexity in their soil from which the coffee plants grow. The beans from Ethiopia are grown by the Hunkute Cooperative. Hunkute is located in the Sidamo region of the country and this cooperative is also part of the Sidama Union.
