Aaron is very tall yet prefers short coffees, preferably Americanos. As the photographer behind many images of ViCAFE and VIVI, he brings a special perspective, shaped by years in London and San Francisco before settling in Switzerland. Almost every weekend he is out snowboarding, hiking or biking, camera always at hand. Aaron loves music and art and is constantly trying out new creative forms of expression.
AMIRA GADSBY
Accounting Specialist
With her fascinating background from Barbados and Japan, Amira brings a unique perspective to the finances of ViCOLLECTIVE. There she takes care not only of numbers and payments but also of the many, often tricky admin contracts in the areas of telephony, internet and payment providers, always keeping an overview. Her passion for good food, above all Japanese cuisine, is contagious. At the lunch table she regularly causes envious glances when she unpacks her lovingly prepared dishes. Amira combines precision, organizational talent and culinary enthusiasm, a combination that fits ViCOLLECTIVE perfectly.
AMY ZALEVICH
Head Baker
Amy is originally from Canada and also lived in Brazil before landing in Zurich, and thus at ViCAFE, with an excellent sense of direction. As a barista she first conjured up excellent coffee, today she delights with heavenly pastries from the bakery. What many don't know is that besides her passion for baking, Amy loves fashion and owns some of the most beautiful and stylish outfits far and wide. Even if we mostly see her in a baking apron, now and then she leaves the bakery to develop new creations, discover ingredients and try out something completely new.
ANNA TODESCO
Store Managerin Basel
Born in South Tyrol, growing up between crispy bacon and authentic cappuccino, the path into gastronomy was practically predetermined for Anna. After hotel management school and economics studies, she now combines heart, brain and hand as a Shop Manager at ViCAFE, preferably without much fuss. Dogs make Anna's heart melt, clean workplaces make her overjoyed and she loves pitching in together with everyone. Standing still is not her thing, so every free minute is used to practice a new latte art motif. Anna stands for quality, team spirit and the perfect flat white served with a smile.
ALINE DEON
Store Manager Zürich
Aline loves to cook and likes to be inspired by her travels. After three months in India, curry was on her menu almost daily. She travels passionately, discovers new countries and cultures and always brings a piece of them home with her. As Store Manager, Aline dashes through the ViCAFE Espresso Bars, conjures up coffee, ensures a good atmosphere and makes sure the espresso bars run smoothly. Always on the move, because slow just isn't her thing. Originally she wasn't a morning person, but ViCAFE successfully changed that. After three years in Basel, Aline is back in her hometown of Zurich. Coffee is in her blood, thanks to her father who ran a coffee machine business where she often helped out. In her free time she is drawn to nature, whether hiking or camping.
BIANCA FRITSCHI
Coffee Sourcing Expert
Bianca is the embodiment of multiculturalism. Born and raised in Mexico, her roots span over ten nationalities across three continents. Maybe that explains why she only put on skis for the first time at 33 and still skis better than you. Legendary broccoli and the hottest chilies for miles around grow in her garden. The chilies are the secret to her amazing Mole, the recipe for which she will proudly explain to you in fluent Mundart. Bianca eats with such pleasure that time almost seems relative. With over 15 years of experience in the coffee world — from origin to senior trading roles — she has worked across the entire value chain, curating key accounts from farmers to major global coffee brands. Today, Bianca brings that deep expertise to ViCAFE, where she enjoys being at the final link of the chain: delivering sustainable specialty coffee directly to the consumer. Bianca combines expertise, calm, and a refined sense of sharpness — and not just in the garden.
CHRISTIAN FORRER
VRP & Gründer
Christian is the founder of ViCAFE and Vivi Kola. In the early years he roasted the coffee himself. He personally designs every espresso bar and knows many of our coffee farmers by name. Christian thinks in images and loves making ideas tangible, creating experiential 3D worlds. He is a proud native of Eglisau, a passionate paddler, a trained animal tracker and a great lover of classical music. In his free time he prefers to hike with a clear concept in his head. Today, as Chairman of the Board of ViCOLLECTIVE, he leads the strategic direction and gives both brands a clear direction with experience, heart and foresight.
CHRISTOPH MEIER
Roaster & Senior Specialist Quality Management
As a food scientist, Christoph not only knows the exact composition of our organic milk but can also explain precisely to you, as a Swiss roasting champion, how the beans find their way into your coffee cup. He sees something good in everything and everyone, and when something tastes really good to him, his typical reaction follows, "Phaaantastic!" Christoph loves everything that is nerdy, fermented or simply delicious. His daily muesli is a constantly evolving variation of the traditional recipe, just as he conjured it up over ten years ago in our first branch in Zurich. And if a new product is being designed anywhere, he is guaranteed to be right in the middle of it instead of just on the sidelines, ensuring that in the end everything tastes, literally, phantastic.
CLAUDIA BOSS
Shiftleader Eglisau
Claudia is a veritable B'ARTISTA, that is, an artist in her studio and also in the café in Eglisau. Coffee is her fuel, in the morning in the cup, at noon on paper. Behind the bar she conjures up latte art hearts, in her breaks she paints beautiful faces with espresso. For Claudia, coffee is not just enjoyment but also color.

Logistics & Roastery Operator
Chris is calmness personified and greets everyone early in the morning with a motivating smile. In logistics he is a real ace, ensuring smooth processes and always maintaining an overview. He is also hard to beat at the pool table as rumor has it he is almost a pro. What makes Chris special is that no matter what it's about, he is always on hand, thinks along and finds a solution for every espresso bar concern. Reliable, unagitated and effective, that's how he is known, and that's how the whole team appreciates him.
DAVID BLOCH
Senior Marketing Specialist
David drives the marketing of the two brands ViCAFE and VIVI forward with much curiosity, organizational talent and a fine sense of aesthetics. His motto "Forward together" brings fresh impulses to the team, especially noticeable at events. You can usually recognize him by his beanie, whether on a racing bike, out with his Fujifilm camera or amidst the colorful hustle and bustle of the Basel Carnival (yes indeed, for three whole days). And the hiss when opening a Vivi bottle? He allegedly recognizes it blindly and claims this with a conviction almost as sparkling as the drink itself.
DAVID MENDES
Senior Roastery Operator
David loves nature and probably explores it more than you and I put together. It may well be that he covers 200 kilometers on his racing bike in one day. He is only faster when packing coffee and solving tricky logistics problems. No wonder he loves coffee, it gives him the necessary energy for it. About his home country Portugal, David says that although there are dreamlike beaches there, you get the better coffee here. With his endurance, his precision and his eye for detail, he ensures that everything finds its way smoothly at ViCAFE.

Store Manager Basel
David is from Basel through and through and knows the city not only by daylight but also very well from its nightlife. Today, however, he prefers to enjoy Basel from a new perspective, as a Store Manager at ViCAFE and in his own four walls. When he isn't ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the store, he can often be found in the water as diving is his passion. With his calm manner, organizational talent and eye for detail, David ensures that guests feel welcome and the team is always fully engaged.
EMILY DU PREEZ
Fractional CTO
Emily, born in Durban and today at home in Johannesburg, is our Fractional CTO at ViCOLLECTIVE. Her favorite coffee is the Cortado, and when she isn't juggling in the world of numbers or IT, she immerses herself in books or captures special moments with her camera. Emily loves traveling to new countries and taking inspiration from other cultures. When questions arise in the IT area, she is the one who ensures order with clear announcements and a structured approach. She is often accompanied by her two dogs, faithful companions who ensure additional good humor.
FERNANDO BARREIRA DA SILVA
Bäcker
Fernando comes from the south of Portugal and grew up in a family of fishermen. Since moving to Switzerland in 2006, he has been fascinated by snow, mountains and the diversity of Swiss culture, perfectly matching his passion for extreme sports. He is the proud father of a daughter and an enthusiastic music lover with a playlist ranging from Techno to House to Reggae and Hip-Hop. In the bakery Fernando not only ensures fresh baked goods but also impresses with his cooking skills, especially soups. A true all-rounder with taste, creativity, energy and always a smile.
LORENA AMGWERD
Customer Experience & Operations Specialist
Lorena is an all-rounder in the Sales Team of ViCOLLECTIVE. She looks after B2B and B2C customers and ensures that ordering and delivery processes run smoothly. With her eye for detail and her hands-on mentality, she continuously improves the customer experience, both digitally and physically. Her roots lie in Argentina where she prefers drinking VIVI Mate on the go, while at home she enjoys it traditionally from the mate cup in company. With humor, commitment and a direct line to customers, Lorena ensures smooth processes, positive customer experiences and a strong team.
LUCA GIANFREDA-BABB

Born in England with Swiss heritage on his mothers side, he grew up in the countryside of England and has lived and studied in Switzerland since 2017. He has always had a love for the outdoors, music (listening and creating) and is a connoisseur in whistling. His mathematics background and love of food has given him a leg up with creating picture perfect croissants. When he's not in the bakery, you can find him in the boxing ring, or enjoying the city with friends.
MAGDALENA FIALEK

Magda came to Switzerland from Poland with her family and is a proud mother. She loves ancient history and music in all forms, from classical symphony to modern rhythms. In the bakery she brings warmth, structure and taste to our products daily and ensures that every detail is right. Magda surprises with a fine sense of rhythm, lots of patience and her calm, reliable manner. She is a true pillar of the team, musical, warm and always ready to try new things, whether baking, listening or laughing together during breaks, always with a smile.
MALTE HIEKEL
Senior Impact Specialist
Malte drives Impact & Sustainability at ViCAFE with passion. He knows the exact weight of every coffee delivery, its route to Altstetten, the stories of the coffee farmers, the biodiversity of the farms and every detail about the Clay Cup. With a mixture of energy and calm, he sets projects in motion in various departments or dreams up creative coffee creations. In the Academy he shares his knowledge in a practical, vivid way and with lots of humor. Privately he is rarely still as trail running, ski touring and racing bike are his favorites. Malte loves movement between mountain and valley. He belongs to the legendary pizza buddies, cooks passionately and has a weakness for trashy snacks.
MARCUS BERGER
Principal Designer
Born in Namibia, raised in Cape Town, and now based in Zurich – Marcus switches effortlessly between German and English. He’s passionate about Japanese streetstyle aesthetics, anime, and a good bowl of ramen. His adrenaline fix comes from surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking – always chasing action, but with the laid-back ease of a true Capetonian and a love for a proper braai (South African BBQ). A family man with a calm, grounded nature. At ViCOLLECTIVE, Marcus is responsible for all the looks and designs around ViCAFE and VIVI – always with an eye for detail – smooth, solid & sorted.

Sales and Operations Specialist
From the cheese to the coffee industry, Matthias is well-versed in genuine moments of pleasure. That is why, with ViCAFE at Work, he not only brings first-class coffee into offices but also ensures a lived coffee culture and energy in the workplace. Thanks to his strategic way of thinking and his creative approach, he finds elegant solutions even for tricky projects while always maintaining the composure of a barista at the portafilter.
MELANIE OBERHOFER
Senior Sales Operations Specialist
Melanie is the whirlwind in the Sales Team. As a Sales Operations Specialist she juggles customer inquiries, sales figures and coffee cups, and all at the same time. In parallel she is completing her business administration studies. She has a penchant for art and in her free time you will mostly find her with a paintbrush. And quite incidentally she always brings good vibes, even on Mondays. You rarely meet her in clubs unless it is the Matcha Club. As a sporty whirlwind she is constantly in motion, and even if she was once at home in South Africa, luckily she is back with us now.
NIELS ZIMMERMANN
Senior Roastery Operator
Niels can't sleep with the door closed, but otherwise he can do almost anything. He is a DJ, trained baker-confectioner and sound technician, has a heart for people and animals and is up for any nonsense. At ViCAFE he takes care of logistics and all arising work in the roastery. In his free time he likes to surprise friends, secretly listens to country music and assembles your IKEA wardrobe in no time. Niels combines craftsmanship, humor and helpfulness, a combination that makes him an indispensable part of the team.
NOEL MÜLLER
Fractional CFO
From the financial hub of Wall Street to the Zurich coffee world, Noel is responsible at ViCOLLECTIVE as Fractional CFO for ensuring that we earn money, and spend it wisely too. When he isn't juggling numbers, wanderlust grabs him. His heart beats for road trips across Europe in his converted van. Ideally he would like to go all in, like his favorite podcast, and live in the bus right away, but his better half doesn't allow that yet. Noel combines financial expertise with a thirst for adventure and brings both profitably into the world of ViCOLLECTIVE.
PASCAL HERZOG
COO & Impact
As a former coffee trader, Pascal has a big heart for farmers, whether they are dairy farmers in the Zurich Oberland or coffee farmers in Tanzania. He spent a year at Mondul Farm, picking up a bit of Swahili along the way. On sourcing trips he is usually the first to get sunburned, but also the one with a whiskey and the most knowledge in his luggage. He especially loves pruning (and his garden shears), tends to his worm farm and three kids and conjures up delicious vegetables on the plate. As the driving force behind the ViFOUNDATION, he brings ideas from the first spark to implementation, always with heart, energy and foresight.
PATRICK AGNÉUS
Head of Business Development
Patrick is a true nature lover, on foot, on skis or on a sailboat, the main thing is being outside. Whether a regatta on Lake Zurich or an Arctic expedition, he loves the challenge on the water. His enthusiasm for drinks once began in India, today, besides coffee and cola, he particularly enjoys a cup of green tea. At ViCOLLECTIVE Patrick brings the two brands VIVI and ViCAFE to restaurants, hotels and the Swiss retail sector, strategically, reliably and with perfect timing. Even in stressful moments he remains calm, attentive and always with a smile.
RAMON SCHALCH
CEO
Ramon was the first employee of ViCAFE in Zurich and is now CEO of ViCOLLECTIVE. After his career as an ice hockey player, he studied marketing, deepened his coffee knowledge in Colombia and shaped the first espresso bar at Goldbrunnenplatz with heart, intellect and a good dose of charm. Today he wears many hats, strategist, visionary, coach, and always keeps the big picture in view. Whether on a racing bike, in the mountains or in the office, Ramon combines calm with energy, empathy with clarity and expertise with humor. He is known for his beaming smile, his love of snacks and his regular visits to the hairdresser.
RENATO FUX
Store Manager Eglisau
Renato manages ViCAFE Eglisau, our first café and thus the heart of ViCAFE. Jumping into the stream year-round is just as much a part of his everyday life as enjoying a good doppio from the little golden cup in the Untergass has been for more than 15 years. He is a family man with three children and has always been accustomed to juggling through exciting days with the necessary balance. In his free time, Renato enjoys jogging through the woods, rocking curvy mountain passes with his Speedy or enjoying the many single trails in the region on his mountain bike.
RUBEN MARTINEZ
Roaster & Roastery Manager
Started as a barista and mechanic, today he leads production and is one of the two roasters in the in-house roastery. With his Q-Grader certificate, extensive experience and a fine sense of taste, he develops roasting profiles, optimizes processes and ensures that the coffees consistently deliver the highest quality. In his free time he prefers to sit at the drums, because whether roasting or making music, in the end the right timing counts.
BOJANA NIKOLIC

You’ll rarely catch Bojana standing still. Between five espresso bars, conversations with guests and working closely alongside the team, she brings energy and genuine curiosity to every coffee moment. She has a soft spot for great products, honest quality, and the small details that turn a coffee break into a moment worth remembering.
HEIDI DELLEY
Maintenance Managerin
Heidi is a true family person, down-to-earth, humorous and with a big heart for people and solutions. Having grown up in the corridors of the Schauspielhaus, she knows the best theater stories. Today she brings two kids, a van-life heart (lived out primarily in the Ticino mountains) and a huge portion of organizational talent to ViCOLLECTIVE. As head of the Maintenance Team, you can find her coordinating the construction and planning of new espresso bars or crossing Zurich on a cargo bike. With craftsmanship, ideas and pragmatism, she holds everything together like a good espresso, strong, warm and reliable. And if something needs to be built, she simply creates it herself.
SARAH ACKERMANN
Espresso Bar Managerin
Originally from Basel, Sarah combines artistic flair with impressive organization. As a textile artist, now with her own cushion collection, she brings a keen eye for detail and implements projects calmly and structurally as a perfectionist. At ViCAFE she is responsible for, among other things, the opening of new locations as well as Quality Management and Health & Safety. As the queen of lists and systems, she ensures that everything runs smoothly from day one. Besides that she is a mom and finds inspiration in nature as well as in good design. With heart and clarity she shapes working environments that are effective and lasting.
FELIX GÖLZER
Senior Manager Espresso Bars & Academy
Weary of life as a steel trader in Hamburg, Felix now knows every ViCAFE Espresso Bar like the back of his hand. He jumps in at every level and optimizes galore, all with plenty of know-how and humor. As head of our Academy, he ensures top trained baristi and exciting coffee courses. Although he describes himself as a late sleeper, he is in the gym at 6 a.m. in a good mood. Felix speaks perfect Zurich German but has a declared favorite non-word, "en Schnäfel", which he consistently and proudly uses incorrectly. Culinarily he has excellent taste, though blue cheese never makes it onto his plate. He loves District 5, cruises through the Zurich cycling network in professional rain gear and is one of the two best pizza buddies.
HELENA HEGGLIN
Cluster Managerin Zürich
Helena manages a handful of our espresso bars and, together with around 40 baristi, delights our guests daily. Her music therapy background not only brings structure and sensitivity to the team but also ensures that she masters even the longest coffee queue with stoic calm. When she isn't rocking the espresso bars, she dedicates herself to her passion for cider and gardens. Helena is the favorite aunt, can work anywhere, even on a crate in the hallway, and always radiates good vibes. With her, serenity meets warmth, and guests and colleagues alike feel it immediately.
SHPEJTIM ZHEGROVA
Logistics Operator
Shpejtim knows every shortcut in the city, no wonder, as he was a taxi driver for years. Today, as a forwarder at ViCAFE, he reliably brings our deliveries to their destination and ensures that everything arrives on time and in the best condition. He is a family man through and through, always helpful and ready with a good quip. Anyone on the road with him has not only the best route but also the best company, peppered with exciting stories, a smile and sometimes the odd shortcut that only Shpejtim knows.
JOHANNA STEMMLER
Store Manager Zürich
Johanna is full of energy and zest for life. When she isn't getting creative with knitting needles, she zips through the streets of Zurich at lightning speed on her bike. Her organizational talent ensures that everything runs smoothly, no matter how hectic the day is. Through it all she always has a smile on her face and infects guests and teammates alike. Anyone who meets Johanna immediately feels her positive radiance and her passion for bringing joy to people.
URSIN SPESCHA
Junior Marketing Specialist
Ursin thinks in trails and trends. As a former MTB pro, he knows his way around steep climbs and clever descents. Skills that also benefit him in marketing. Alongside his business administration studies, he brings momentum to our projects, surprises with creative ideas and remains sovereign even in headwinds. Athletically he is at home not only on the bike but also on skis, running or hiking in the mountains.
