White Clay Cup GaeaStar (300 ml)

As the first partner in Europe, ViCAFE launched the clay cup from GaeaStar, introducing a new category in the takeaway sector between disposable cups and ceramic mugs.

What might sound futuristic at first is actually a combination of ancient craftsmanship and cutting-edge 3D technology. The cup is plastic-free and intentionally fragile by design.

The clay cups are made from three natural materials: clay, water, and salt. They can be reused or repurposed—for instance, as vases or toothbrush holders. As shards, they can also be mixed into garden soil. If the cup is disposed of, it has no negative impact on the environment, staying true to the motto: Earth back to Earth.

ViCAFE is part of a global cohort of forward-thinking coffee roasters and thought leaders in the specialty coffee sector who are collaborating with GaeaStar on this pilot project.
