Ciumenene
Daniel Kamiri Njoroge runs a small coffee farm with his family in Gatundu, north of Nairobi. A complex, dense coffee grows on the 1.7 hectares. The Ciumenene beans are particularly suitable as a filter coffee.

Description
Daniel Kamiri Njoroge's farm is a fairly small patch of land in Kenya. This patch is perfect for cultivating coffee. And this is what Daniel's family traditionally does: at an altitude of around 1800 metres, they harvest a full-bodied coffee with flavours of apricot, hibiscus and currant. Daniel named his farm after his grandfather's battle cry: Ciumenene! In the local language Kikuyu this means: May the harvest be great! We visited the farm for the first time in 2021 and were amazed by the entrepreneurial energy of the family. Besides great coffee, they grow vegetables, breed fish and keep a few cows.
