ViCAFE Miju Coffee Beans
MIJU

Description

Just like other fruits, coffee has its own seasonality. With the ViCAFE Season Lot Subscription we send you the coffee that is currently in season and has therefore reached its full quality potential. This not only ensures freshness, but also interesting new coffees at home. The coffee for the Seasonal Lot Subscription corresponds to the coffee that we offer in the ViCAFE Espresso Bars on the 2nd grinder. You can cancel or modify your subscription at any time. As with all coffee subscriptions, we offer a 10% discount on the coffee price. Current Season Lot:

The Season Lot is the Orang Utan Project Coffee with beans from Indonesia. The coffee has flavors of orange, licorice, caramel and marzipan.

We were overwhelmed by the warmth with which we were received by Alemayehu Daniel, his eleven brothers and their families. Since the summer of 2017, they have been solely responsible for managing the large farm that their father Daniel Miju had built years ago. Despite the hard work at 2050 m above sea level, they continue to focus on quality. The unwashed coffee is dried over several weeks and has an authentic taste with flavours that are typical of the region. Thanks to new coffee regulations, we can now purchase the coffee directly from Alemayehu’s farm.

SEASON LOT COFFEE SUBSCRIPTION

Miju coffee comes from twelve small farms owned by Alemayehu Daniel and his eleven brothers. It is located in the south of Ethiopia, in the Gedeb Zone (Yirgacheffe).

The family impressed us with their deep connection with nature and the careful cultivation of the trees, which deliberately avoids the use of any chemicals. Since summer 2017, Alemayehu Daniel and his eleven brothers have been solely responsible for the farm that their father Daniel Miju built up.

At 2050 meters above sea level, they attach great importance to quality by cultivating indigenous Ethiopian coffee varieties and drying the unwashed coffee for several weeks.
