Aprolma Women's Cooperative

Honduras, La Paz

Tasting notes: mild, creamy, hazelnut, honey, orange

Aprolma Women’s Cooperative. The region La Paz in Honduras with its subtropical climate offers the best conditions for coffee cultivation. The Aprolma Agrar Cooperative was founded by single women in order to actively meet the basic development policy challenges. The low level of social education and the lack of economic prospects mean that many men emigrate to the USA and leave their families without a secure income. Instead of being dependent on development aid, the women have built up an economic existence, which is secured by the sale of this special coffee.
